Abstract

The Centers for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (NEABI) existing in educational institutions that make up the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (RFEPCT) are configured as opportune spaces for the construction of anti-racist education and, consequently, for overcoming the colonial backwardness imposed by slavery. These centers carry, in their possibilities of action, a transformative role within the implementation of affirmative actions and identity and ethnic-racial issues. In this scenario, we consider the connections between Professional and Technological Education (EPT) and Laws nº 10.639/2003 and Law nº 11.645/2008. In this article, we aim to reflect, through the analysis of dissertations and theses, on how NEABI contribute to anti-racism in the context of EPT. Regarding the methodology, the study assumes a qualitative, exploratory and bibliographical nature. It is concluded that NEABI are spaces committed to the development of anti-racist educational practices.
