A EFETIVAÇÃO DA LEI 12.244/2010 NAS ESCOLAS DO ESTADO DE PERNAMBUCO - BRASIL

The present work proposes a reflection on the school library, pointing out the education of users as being a fundamental and integral activity of making librarians. With the main objective of discussing the development of the informational competence of the librarian professional for his performance in the education of users in school libraries, the following specific objectives were outlined: Therefore, it was proposed as a general objective, to discuss the importance of the recognition of the educational function School Libraries, aiming to contribute to the students' good learning. And, as specific objectives, to highlight the role of the Institutions in school education and their respective managers, to emphasize the importance of the librarian with the educators and also analyze Law 12.244 / 2010 and its impact on school libraries. For this, bibliographic and documentary research was carried out. It was considered, therefore, that law 12.244 appears as an instrument for the school library to actually exist in a quantitative and qualitative way in our country, ensuring that the profession of librarians is still respected. However, the supply of librarians to school libraries needs to be that of qualified and competent professionals in their own lifelong learning.
