Umbanda, Xangô e Candomblé: crescimento ou decomposição?
Abstract
ABSTRACT Umbanda, xangô, and candomblé: growth or decomposition? v. 29, n. 1, p. 175-187, jan./jun. 2001. Points out that although Afro-Brazilian religions were regarded as more (or less) pure or authentical, such boundaries and labels are inaccurate. Even so, calls attention to the fact that the patterning and the process of formalizing them as churches, as reflected by dramaturgical rites, seems to show indeed “the decomposition of the Afro-Brazilian religions.” Downloads
