Discussions about students' life projects reached Brazilian schools in mid-2012, through the Full-Time Education program. Since then, official documents have suggested that school institutions contribute to outlining students' projects, seeking to establish a connection not only between their aspirations for their future, but also in relation to their academic training. The aim of this study is therefore to reflect on the BNCC's guidelines with regard to the life project of young people who are attending secondary school. To do this, we carried out a bibliographical study under a qualitative approach, whose framework of analysis was documental. The life project, according to the study, is part of the success methodology in educational institutions, aimed at reflecting on what each student wants for their future and planning actions to build it, based on three pillars: personal, social and professional.
