About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Revista Ciência & Trópico (C & Trópico) is a biannual, interdisciplinary publication that aims to contribute to the dissemination of current and consistent research in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Research articles and essays, all unpublished and resulting from consistent research in the aforementioned areas, are received in a continuous stream in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French.
Peer Review Process
Collaborators from all countries are invited to submit their unpublished research papers, which will be evaluated anonymously by two members of the Editorial Board advised and, if necessary, by "ad hoc" reviewers. The time required to send an opinion is 4 weeks (30 days). Check Guidelines for evaluation.
Frequency
The Revista Ciência & Trópico (C & Trópico) is published every six months.
Open Access Policy
This magazine offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
The articles are available in PDF format for download.
Fees
Revista Ciência & Trópico does not charge fees for submission or publication of articles, regardless of affiliation or country of the author (s).
Plagiarism verification policy
The Magazine uses a policy of identifying plagiarism, using anti-plagiarism software for this purpose.
Use license
The texts published by Revista Ciência & Trópico can be read, downloaded, copied, distributed and printed for free. Reproduction of the full and / or partial text requires the citation of the author and the first publication, as provided for in the Creative Commons License - Attribution 4.0 International.
Copyright
As of 2019, authors who publish in Revista Ciência & Trópico keep their copyright by giving the magazine the right to first publication. The opinions and concepts presented in the texts do not necessarily correspond to the opinion of the Editorial Body and Commission.

Revista Ciência & Trópico is financed by the Ministry of Education (Federal Government).
Digital identifiers
The Journal started using the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) as a standard digital identifier in 2019.
