Cultures en partage: le folklore pernamboucain en langue française

RESUMO A elaboração de um dicionário bilingue português-francês das manifestações folclóricas pernambucanas é uma das ações do projeto Traduções de Tradições, desenvolvidas no Núcleo de Estudos Francófonos do Leitorado de Francês da UFPE, tendo como objetivo estudar e divulgar a cultura popular brasileira e a francesa. Inicialmente, foram apresentados ao público francófono, em língua francesa, os principais aspectos das tradições populares do nosso Estado. Posteriormente, fazendo o percurso inverso, serão apresentadas em português as manifestações folclóricas francesas. Essas ações se inserem no âmbito dos projetos de colaboração França/Brasil e nas parcerias entre a UFPE e o Consulado Geral da França em Recife. Neste artigo, trataremos do primeiro volume da série de três dicionários temáticos bilingues, cujos primeiros foram editados conjuntamente pelas duas instituições e o terceiro está em fase de conclusão. Na primeira obra, que contém 354 verbetes, os artigos descrevem de maneira clara e concisa as facetas da cultura popular pernambucana, focalizando as origens e a evolução das tradições populares, conferindo um caráter etnológico ao projeto, além de sua natureza linguística. The production of a bilingual Portuguese-French dictionary of Folklore manifestations from Pernambuco state is one of the actions carried out in the Project Traditions in Translation, sponsored by the group in Francophone Studies of the French Language Division at the Federal University of Pernambuco. The Project afins at researching and disseminating Brazilian and French popular cultures. lnitially, the Francophone public was introduced in French to the main features characterizing folk traditions from Pernambuco. This is followed by a reverse process, in which traditions of French folklore are to be presented in Portuguese. Those actions reflect a linguistic, cultural and scientific cooperation between France and Brazil, through a partnership linking lhe Federal University of Pernambuco and the Consulate General of France in Recife. This article will focos on the first volume in the series of three thematic bilingual dictionaries, two of which have been co-published by those two institutions, while the third volume is forthcoming. The first volume, which features 354 entries, provide a clear and concise description of manifestations of Pernambuco folk culture with a focus on origins and development of popular traditions, thus giving the Project both a linguistic and an ethnographic dimension. L'élaboration d'un dictionnaire portugais français des manifestations folkloriques du Pernambouc (Brésil) est une dos actions do projet Traductions des traditions, développé au Núcleo de estudos francófonos (Lectorat de français), ayant pour but d'étudier la culture populaire brésilienne et celle de la France. Dans un premier temps, on a présenté au public francophone, en langue française, les principaux aspects des traditions populaires de notre Etat. Postérieurement, faisant le chemin inverse, en langue portugaise, les manifestations folkloriques françaises seront présentées au public lusophone. L'action s'inscrit aussi dans le cadre des projets de coilaboration entre la France et le Brésil, grâce au partenarial entre l'UFPE et le Consulat général de France à Recife. Dans cet article, il s'agit du premier volume d'une série de trois dictionnaires thématiques bilingues, dont les deux premiers ont été publiés conjointement par ces deux institutions et le troisième est en train de s'achever. Dans te premier ouvrage, comprenant 354 entrées, les articles décrivent d'une manière claire et concise les facettes de la culture pernamboucaine, tout en mettant l'accent sur les origines et l'évolution des traditions populaires, ce qui confère un caractère ethnologique à la recherche, outre sa nature linguistique.
